A strong contender for my favorite of Marc's projects. This band was created to pay tribute to both the music and improvisational approach of Albert Ayler. They succeed in great measure.

I'm filling in past albums from groups I discovered late in the game, and Absentia arrived in the mail today. I've been shopping online for hard to find CD's at glyde.com. I bought Sean Costello's first CD, "Call The Cops" new, for only $14.95. It costs between $160-200 at Amazon.com! No kidding!

Of particular interest is the last track, a 14 minute pseudo-prog song that basically covers the entire book of Revelation. To write this off as a Chris Jericho "I are rock star" vehicle would be a mistake.

I just listened to a public library copy I borrowed, found in the "local music" section. I've seen them locally a number of times. And played with the bassist's side band, Rehasher.
